Hi,

I have found how to upload pages from HTM files I've made. The problem is, whenever I just go to the ".com" page (in my case http://alexbolding.x10host.com/), the page is blank and just says INdex Of. Very ugly.

How can I add an HTML file to this page? Also, is there a way to make this page unviewable by others?

Thanks :)

Your default page must be named index.html (or index.php, if you're scripting) in order to open automatically. (Note the lower-case; UNIX-type operaating systems are case-sensitive.) Since the web server opens the index, and if you don't have a page whose file name says "I'm the index!!!", the server creates an index page for you. There are things you can do to make other filenames work, but all in all it's just easier and cleaner to call your home page "index.html".

Well you could also login to your account and use the "Site Builder" or the "Software/ Script Installer" option to help create your first website.
Then in won't look "blank". We will be here to guide you along your quest for your first website

The OP has already created and uploaded HTML files; it was just the index page that was missing.
