elgg & e-mail notification

Hi,

I have setup an elgg installation (elgg is an open social network framework written in php: elgg.org). Everything goes well and I can register a new user in my new elgg site. However registering a new user is supposed to send an e-mail to the newly created account. I don't get an e-mail to my yahoo account.

So my question is: is there any special action/or configuration needed to be able to send e-mails automatically?

There isn't any. You may want to check your spam folder, and make sure any settings in the softwares config say to use the default php mail function.
