Ok, so I have my domain hosted with x10. I click on email accounts, create and account and press "access webmail" from my cpanel. I login and neither squirrelmail nor hordemail works....

Is there any way I can setup mail.domainname.com to be a site I can check my mail?

Thanks,
Chase

To avoid confusion, please use the forum account associated with the hosting account, which is: gcstuff.

I don't think that you can setup your own webmail client, at least I have never heard anyone trying.

I do have an account on stoli and both horde and squirrel works for me.

Ps. if you want to access webmail without logging into cPanel first, you can use yourdomain.com/webmail/ (redirects you to yourdomain.com:2095). Once there you can login directly to one of the e-mail addresses you created use your cPanel login to access the main one.
