email is not working

From cPanel the following error:

exim (exim-4.69-23.1_cpanel_maildir) failed

What does it mean? Is it on my side or yours?

Exim is the software used to handle mail. However, until the moved is completed, the load on the server will make it very likely that some services do not respond.
