Email not working on phpBB

Hi,
Has thex10 team made any changes to email functionality on lotus?
Because recently it seems my phpBB installation has stopped sending out any emails at all. I recently discovered that a new account registration email hadn't been sent to me on the admin email id specified, and I recieved a complaint that a password reset email was also not being sent.

Since I haven't made any changes to my phpBB installation, I was wondering if this was due to a change made on x10's servers instead.

There was no change that I am aware of on lotus. Could you give use more information on the way you are sending mail through phpbb (mail(), sendmail or smtp)?

Frankly, I have no idea since I do not know the inner workings of phpBB. I am using a default installation of phpBB though, it that helps.
And I think phpBB uses the mail() function of the 3, if I'm not mistaken. I just saw another thread on the first page where another user is complaining about his mail() function not working since mid-January.

Could someone from the x10 team please look into this? Or if this is an ongoing issue, atleast point me to the notification and status updates thread for this.

I'm pretty sure this is an x10 hosting and not an issue on my end since I hadn't made any changes to my site whatsoever for a while when I started getting this problem.

Usually, they post their updates here - http://status.x10hosting.com/
But no sign of php mail() function.

I am having the same problem, and I doubt x10hosting's side!
I am using SMF on Chopin, by the way.

the mail function is working from my joomla site.
would this mean that php's send mail is working??
I think it should be so.but..please confirm on your account by just installing a joomla site and some dummy registrations.this may take only a few minutes..

to install joomla --> www.joomla.org/download


then send mail ..

Although I did not try testing with Joomla like you suggested, I just generated a full backup of my website using the tools provided in cPanel. And it seems to have sent me an email notification that it was done just fine. So I think it is a case with php mail()
