In the past, I used the CGI Email script to direct inquiries to one of my webmail addresses, inquiries@slhskeyclub.x10hosting.com, but it has recently stopped working. The mail does not reach the email address, and, after a few days, I get a failed delivery message in my general inbox. This mail system used to work flawlessly. I did not change my webpage or my CGI mail templates in any way. The error listed is a "Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender" error.
The text of the error message is as follows:
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

It may be because the mail server keeps crashing.
I'm watching it and trying to start it back up when it goes down.

I tried using a form on my site to send email, and it still does not work. However, I noticed, after I sent the form data, that Exim was offline. Is Exim the mail component of the server?
