Email on Google Apps (Not working!)

Hi all,

I've been trying to get the email for my domain working with Google Apps mail.

I've run through the excellent tutorial here and still, after about 3 days, when I go to mail.mydomain.co.uk it shows the page:
Great Success !
Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ Server

Is there something I haven't done? I've changed the MX records, and I verified the ownership of my domain with Google by putting the appropriate html file on my domain. I shouldn't have to change any CNAMES right?

Any advice appreciated.

Hi Garrett,
it was actually your (rather excellent!) tutorial that I used, so I'm confident that the settings are all correct.

I think the problem was that to get mail.mydomain.co.uk to work, I have to set up the "mail" CNAME here at x10 to direct to ghs.google.com. I've now opened a support ticket to do this.

It's my fault, as I didn't realise there was an extra step required to do this. My Google Apps email has been working all along at http://mail.google.com/a/mydomain.co.uk.

Might I suggest that a final step in your tutorial could be to suggest that a user might want to contact their host to change the CNAME so that they can access their emails at mail.theirdomain.com?

Haha, I probably should have checked that link you put in your first post

I'll update my tutorial with that information when I get a chance.
