Email Problems

Hey guys:

I'm having email problems again -- everything is configured correctly in Outlook which I use for my email account. I am receiving no return mail errors, and everything appears to be sending just fine, but my email is not actually being delivered, nor are emails to me being received. The sender is not receiving a returned mail notice either. This behavior appears to have begun within the past 24 hours.

Yes. mail is hoesed up on stoli and other servers within the free x10 hosting network. No incomming or outgoing. the mail queue seems to be holding every thing I guess. Its hard to know for sure as I can't login to the server via ssh and look at the logs and see what the problem is. Im sure its because of the upgrades x10 has done in the past few days.

email is back up now. on stoli. thats the only server I use.

According to the news and announcements forum, all email should be working normally at this point...however, I am finding that my test emails are not going through. For example, when I send an email to x10hosting account from hotmail, it does not go through and I do not get a return -- the same is true for sending from gmail. Yahoo mail, on the other hand, goes through. Both gmail and hotmail work fine mailing to each other and to yahoo. So apparently there are still some unresolved issues with mail?

Here is a summary of the latest "tests"

Yahoo -- mail from yahoo to x10 and mail from x10 to yahoo works fine (forwarding to Yahoo account also working)

Gmail -- mail to gmail from x10 is received; mail from gmail to x10 is not received

Hotmail -- neither mail from x10 to hotmail is received nor mail from hotmail to x10

I am seeing the same issue with hotmail. I can send to hotmail but not retrieve email on x10 acct mail from hotmail.com I even cc a email to me here at x10 and inbox.com

the email made it to inbox.com but never made it to x10

Im on stoli.

seems all other mail providers are working

yahoo.com
gmail.com
inbox.com
godaddy.com mail relays
and a shell acct I have is working.

It seems only incoming hotmail email is not working not outgoing.

I don't have a spam folder.. just using simple webmail app on my site. no spam filter that I know of on my end. others say they not getting any mail from hotmail too. I've been testing.. still nothing..

Are you getting email from hotmail.com?

Corey just fixed something related to email and MX records, and it might have something to do with your issue. Could you test your email again?

Also, could you send an email to adam at parkzer.co.cc from a Hotmail account to see if I receive it?

When you send mail from your hosting account to your hotmail, did you check in your spam folder? Sometimes, big email providers block free hosts because of the amount of abuse resulting from the free accounts.

its not outgoing mail to hotmail. sending email to hotmail makes the trip. Its incoming mail from hotmail to x10. thats not making the trip.

Ok I sent a test mesg from hotmail to x10 just now. No show... I haven't seen any email from hotmail since the mail issue started a few days ago.

Ok now we are not getting any email from gmail.com now. whats the problem??..

Never mind about the gmail issue. I think this is my issue. sorry for the false alarm.

hotmail/gmail email is coming into the x10mail server on stoli so it looks like this hotmail/gmail issue is resolved for me. thanks for fixing the email problems guys!
