After unsuspending my account recently, I have not been able to receive POP3 email from my account:

I get the error (0x800CCC90) Your incoming (POP3) e-mail server has reported an internal error - and tried everything suggested by Microsoft, the only remaining option seems to be that there is something wrong with either my account or email on the server (lotus); all services seem to be running. Is there some setting that has flipped or something that needs changing or restarting?

The current error message reads:

(0x80042109): 'Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact the server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).

Domain: SansSeraphim.co.uk (sans.pcriot.com)
I have tried with SSL both on and off.
I have Outlook XP (SP3) on Vista Home Premium

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If it's just your SMTP server not working, just use your ISP's. Sometimes they block SMTP hosts so you have to use there's.

Both POP and SMTP were working until earlier this week, which is puzzling.
Edit:
I still also get the error (0x800CCC90) Your incoming (POP3) e-mail server has reported an internal error

I restarted the mail server, see if it helps at all.
