Email - Thunderbird - Login Issue

I have setup my email account with mozilla thunderbird it gives me error message saying:

Sending the password did not succeed. Mail server responded: login failed

Any help please?

Edit:
Sorry, fixed it. Is was the username, you have to enter the whole email address for the username.

Sure but i have another problem, cant send any emails.

Your ISP might be blocking port 25 which a lot do now. What ISP are you using?
