Error establishing a database connection

Hey guys,

The update was posted around 12pm today and has been 6 hours now, wondering what the status is (please do not post a link to the updates thread as I am aware) as it has gone over 3-4 hours. If you would like to see the error it's in my sig link at the bottom of my posts.

Corey posted up a half hour ago that he hasn't started the transfers yet, solely to take some more backups. You should still be able to connect to MySQL until the work begins for sure. Don't take my word for it though

1. Whatever CMS you are using should have a config , configuration, settings .ini or .php file.
Make sure the database host is set in that file to 'localhost'

2. If it is already set to localhost, go to cPanel, mySQL Databases tool, drop the db user from the db and then add him back, making sure to check "ALL" on the permissions screen that pops up (the default is NONE).

If those don't work, post back and we'll try our best.

I have the localhost set in my config.php for Wordpress 2.9.2 and I am unable to access my cPanel as it keeps saying my Login Attempt Failed or Invalid.

I am on the absolut server as an FYI.

try to login using the cpanel link in your account panel.
