I am unable to access my Wordpress site after migration to the new Direct Admin control panel. I have no problem logging into the control panel, and there does not appear to be any issue with missing files, but I get this error every time I attempt to load the site. Any help would be much appreciated!

If you look under mysql managment, can you confirm that the database is present there?

If it is, click on the database name and verify it has a proper user.

Is the script using localhost to connect the database? That information should be in wp-settings.php if I recall right.

If those parts look right, try changing the password for the database user and update the settings file accordingly.

The database is present, and has an active user. The wp-config file is using the IP address 198.91.81.3 to connect to the database, not localhost. I have just changed the password for the database user, and updated the wp-config file with the new password, yet I am still getting the same error establishing connection to database. If I attempt to load the page using the IP address only, I get an error message from cPanel saying either the IP address has changed, there has been a server misconfiguration, or the site may have moved to a different server.

***EDIT: I just changed the connection to localhost, and all appears to be working. Thanks for the help!
