I'm using Dreamweaver and I want to view my site through Safari and I get this message:
404 Not Found
The server can not find the requested page:

ftp.bluecat.x10hosting.com/public_html/about.php (port 80)
Please forward this error screen to ftp.bluecat.x10hosting.com's WebMaster.

What am I doing wrong? I want to start learning PHP and wanted to use the server instead of using a local server.

thanks
Mary Jo

There's 2 spots causing the problem.

1: the ftp at the beginning needs to get clipped.
2: on x10hosting, the public_html folder is where all the pages are served from - it doesn't need to be in the url.

http://bluecat.x10hosting.com/about.php is the link for about.php, if you wanna see it. On that same subject, it looks dang fine to me :)

I guess what I am confused about is in Dreamweaver the difference between the testing server and the remote server. Initially I wasn't using a testing server, but then I thought it would be nice to see the work in Safari right away and start to implement PHP into the form so I could play with it right away. When I removed the public folder it put files on the outside and now I think I have file in two places - old files are being called up. The recent ones are in the public folder.

Thanks again for your help
