Hello,

I've been on x10 for a while now, using it as a dev site, and planning on pointing my domain here for good and upgrade to paid hosting eventually.

I am running a Wordpress site and recently I noticed that wp-cron stopped working. I have a plugin that fetches my tweets and makes posts on it and my blog is not creating posts anymore unless I manually fetch tweets using the plugin.

I noticed also on the cPanel that I am hitting a resources limits. If possible, I'd like to know which part of wordpress is hitting the max resource.

On a side note, I am also planning on disabling wp-cron altogether and set a cron job maybe every 30min or every hour. I'd like to pinpoint first what's hitting the resources at max.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi ronturon,

I'm struggling to find a hosting account associated with your forum account. Please link your accounts, by going to the "Support" section (in the top right of cPanel). ;)

Thank you,

Hello Dead-i,

I am getting a 500 error page when I link my forum account on the support page. I sent a pm with my account instead. I think I might have opened an account on the forums first to check out x10 before creating an account. I'm not sure.

Thank you for looking into it,
ronturon

Hi ronturon,

Thank you for the private message. It looks like your account has hit the maximum number of entry processes a few times. This is usually the number of simultaneous PHP scripts you have running, so this can be triggered when a page gets hit multiple times at the same moment. You shouldn't be worried if you hit this limit; if you exceed the entry processes limit, a "Resource Limit Hit" message would be briefly displayed until you have stopped hitting your entry process limit. :)

I can't see any obvious problems with your wp-cron, though someone else with more WordPress knowledge may be able to help with that. ;)

Thank you,

Thank you very much for the reply Dead-i. I think I know what is wrong with my cron. I read somewhere that wp-cron gets launched when the site gets loaded. And nobody knows my page, no one to trigger it so it is not updating.

Again, thank you for help.
