Error msg: The MySQL Connection could not be established.

I'm using Softaculous to install OpenCart and get the following error:

The MySQL Connection could not be established.

Help!

You can't install because MySQL is currently offline...and so your software cannot create its database tables.

As was said, check the service alerts forum for updates. I just wanted to add about why you cannot actually install.

I had the same error message - and was curious as to why. I had checked the status updates first - but Corey says the MySQL is being upgraded tomorrow. :dunno: (or am I missing something here).

(please note - I am NOT complaining! Just curious!)
