Error on web page

Hi, I have the following error being displayed

Fatal error: Incompatible file format: The encoded file has format major ID 1, whereas the Loader expects 4 in /home/mavuk/public_html/index.php on line 0

Is there a problem with the server?

Hi, please make sure the file is encoded in Unicode or UTF. This can normally be done through the cPanel file manager if you cannot do it yourself.

I have not changed anything and all page updates are done via the web WSYWYG interface, how do i log in and do what you have suggested please?
