Hi,

I set up a custom error page for 404 errors but when I type in a non-existent address on my site it still shows the old x10hosting 404 error page.

What should I do?

I also forgot to mention that my email account isn't working that I set up for my account.

eclipse@forumevolve.com

I get to log in and everything to my email but I do not receive test emails that I sent myself and I'm sure I typed the address correctly.

#1. How did you setup the custom error pages?

#2. Please try using your ISP's outgoing SMTP server to send e-mails, but use our incoming server.

I used cPanel to set up the error pages, at the bottom there is an error pages button and I choose to edit the error pages for domain: forumevolve.com and I choose 404 and put in the html I wanted for the error page and saved, it saved by default as 404.shtml

I'm talking about the webmail part of cpanel, not a mail client.

Okay,

I tried sending an email through webmail and I got this:

ERROR:Requested action aborted: error in processing
Server replied: 451 Temporary local problem - please try later

For the error pages, add this to your .htaccess file.
ErrorDocument 404 /404.shtml

Thanks,

The error messages are fixed but still not the email

When using SquirrelMail I still get:

ERROR:Requested action aborted: error in processing
Server replied: 451 Temporary local problem - please try later

When using Horde I get:

There was an error sending your message: Failed to send data [SMTP: Invalid response code received from server (code: 503, response: All RCPT commands were rejected with this error: Temporary local problem - please try later Valid RCPT command must precede DATA)]

Hello,

I am bumping this up for another administrator to look at later. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello,

It seems to be our firewall blocking the requests. I recommend using an external SMTP server as described above.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for using x10Hosting.

This seems to be all set, so I am going to go ahead and close this. If additional support is needed feel free to re-open this.

That's your solution? I don't even know what an external SMTP server is let alone how to use one. I've used the x10hosting webmail before and it worked fine and now it's not working.

I am not sure, it seems to work on and off. I will try submitting this to another higher up admin when one gets online.

Edit: I restarted a few services can you try now please?
