hey guys. my site was fine earlier but am now getting a new error. and nothing has been changed with my site

Unable to establish connection to MySQL
2002 : Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)​

i just read it and found none of it is to do with my site. anyone tell em what it is im supposed to be reading?

Update:

I'm moving the SQL server to a different hard drive which should help with the load since it will have it's own IO separate from the rest of the server.

I also suspended 10 accounts total, 5 being the top resource users for the past 2-3 days in a row.
