Of course there are ways of determining the limits of your computer and what hardware would be safe for your motherboard. www.esupport.com is another website you may go to for your computer's hardware information plus possible upgrade of your BIOS. In other words, if your BIOS seems out of date, a clean upgrade is important. What I mean by a clean upgrade is making sure you're not running an updater which would trash your BIOS forever.
