Hey everyone,

Could anyone help me with this Excel scenario.
I'd like to use an IF or VLOOKUP function on a separete sheet, but want the value to stay there when the range/input/source is changed.

So if i had a formula to say 'YES' on sheet2 when '1' was entered in a cell in sheet1, the 'YES' would now stay there when the '1' was then deleted.

Any ideas, or did everything I say sound jiberish... :)

Um, you can copy the cell and then do "paste value" back into the cell..

Hawky. Pasting the value will not copy the formula. I use it all the time to replace formulas with values. Chetz, you could wrap your function with an IF test to calculate the cell value only if it is blank, that is, first time only.
