Failed to connect MySQL

My site showing this error (cossacks server):
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (13)Error connecting to database

I've changed 'server name' as "localhost" again but still it's not working after restoring of x10hosting's MySQL. Please help. I've two databases and both are showing the same error.

Cossacks has yet to be backed up for the server changes, so the database host address (I believe) should, in the meantime, remain mysql.x10hosting.com.

The problem *should* be resolved when all server changes are complete, if you continue to encounter this problem when the maintenance is complete, please reply saying so.
