I checked my error log for my site and all the errors are the same thing... a favicon error.

[Sun Nov 27 21:08:37 2005] [error] [client 202.160.21.14] File does not exist: /home/emwatson/public_html/favicon.ico

What does this mean? What's a favicon?

Definition:
A favicon (short for "Favorites icon"), also known as a page icon, is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage. A web designer can create such an icon, and many graphical web browsers—such as recent versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, Safari, and Konqueror—can then make use of them. ...

All browsers attempt to download it when they view a page. If it doesn't exist, you get that error in your log.
