feedback.html stopped working posted on 16 May 2013 being ignore

I check to make sure my feedback.html form is working every so often. I put test information on my feedback.html form and I didn't receive the email. I didn't change anything, but I've noticed that someone put links to certain words on my index.html and feedback.html form. I'd like these advertisement links removed since I'm not being paid for these as well.

I put in a support ticket on 16 May 2013 which is over a week ago. I sent an email which hasn't been responded to. I just sent another email as well. Your phone number goes directly to voicemail. I paid for the next level up service so I should get some response from support.

x10hosting does not add anything to or change the code (programs) in your account and does not add anything to or change your Web pages on the Internet

Boy you guys respond but don't want to help me get the problem fixed. Look, something got changed that I don't have control over, maybe something got moved to another server. Please don't respond to my help request if you're not going to help me fix the problem. Maybe I should use a free server somewhere else even though I paid my 41 cents or whatever for this one and let them know how rude the people here are.

I look at tutorific dot x10 dot mx and I don't see any odd links on index.html or feedback.html. As you have been told, x10hosting does not add anything to your pages.

The mail system is more problematic. The system gets backed up every once in awhile. Sometimes hotmail or yahoo decides to blacklist the mailserver here due to some members abusing the system.

I looked at your script, the primary issue I see is that you set the 'from' email address to whatever the person puts in. So if I put in corey@x10hosting.com it sends you the email @ your gmail from corey@x10hosting.com. This is technically spoofing the email address, which is most likely why you're not getting it. You should change it so it comes from a real email address that exists on your account, this will probably fix the issue.

As another example I could put the from email address as corey@fbi.gov and it would attempt to send you the email from corey@fbi.gov, which will be discarded. I don't work for the FBI... :)

Although answered above, we absolutely do not insert ads or other code into our customer's websites. If your files are being modified you should update your passwords and make sure any scripts on the account are secured.

It's been 2 weeks now, so I'm just supposed to wait. I don't think it should be backed up for two weeks. Also, I can send mail directly, it looks like they changed a server or something being used on my php file which works with my feedback.html. This happened before when it was working and then suddenly not working and they told me what server to change it to, but now I just get no help at all. What am I supposed to do?:mad: I don't think it's just backed up now. Also, I use my x10 email account to have my form send my mail to. When I want to manually forward my x10 email to my Hotmail account it's fine, it doesn't like forwarding to my gmail. Again, I'm using my x10 email, so it shouldn't be a problem.

The post above yours is a response by the CEO.

You apparently decided to ignore it.

He explained what the probable cause of you problem is and how to fix it. x10hosting provides free hosting. It does not run your account for you.

I don't think that's what the problem is. I'm asking for that person's information and it's being checked. There some filters in their. I'm asking for Name, Email, Location, Phone, Subject. This is set up as a normal script. Anyone can enter a fake email address yes. The problem is when I enter my legitimate address to test it, it's not working and it was working for months. If you look at my contact.php it's set to filter out certain types of spam. The problem is probably that you guys changed servers and want me to update to Premium. This happened before and when I updated to Prime it got resolved. Could you guys just tell me what server to use or fix the problem because when I use my email it's fine and I wasn't told this before when I had a problem with it instead of trying to juice me more.

The outgoing mail server is supposed to silently discard spoofed email addresses. If it has done otherwise recently, that was an error. The From header must be a real email account attached to your hosting account; you can't set it to a user's email address (or to your own external email address). If you need to easily reply to the emails, then set the ReplyTo header (which can be different from the From header).
