I have created about 2gb of content for MS Flight Simulator. They are my terrain addons. The file sizes range up to 90mg in size.

I'd like to host these files for download. I don't expect a lot of bandwidth used for downloading, as this is for a rather limited audience. My webpage hosted here would be the gateway for downloading.

Is this within the scope of the TOS? Is this approved usage of the service?

Terms Of Service

"File Storage: Accounts are not to be used for file storage, your account will be permanently suspended if found to be breaking this rule. Downloads are only allowed on your x10Hosting account if they have to do directly with your website. e.g. you developed custom software and are selling it or giving it away. Accounts may not be used for mirrors, game file hosting, or any other type of file hosting not specified here."

You can make files available for download on your site so long as the files are not illegal files (copyright infringement, nulled scripts, etc), and do not otherwise violate the terms of service.

Basically, if the files you make available are, for instance, the maps or terrains you created, or you aggregated, and are presented in your website, then it's legit.

The files are my creation and ownership, and I am giving them away. My website is primarily for Flight Simulator tools and addons of my creation, or links to other sources of terrain creation materials or tools.

So... I'll take this as a "yes" and start loading the files.

Yup, you just confirmed you're golden - the files are yours, and they relate to the site itself. Go for it :)

Sounds like what you are doing is going to be okay. Exercise caution with links to other sites - you do not want to link to any files that are illegal due to copyright infringement, etc., as that could cause you problems.
Good luck with your website.

I'll try to remember to link to other's websites, rather than linking to other's files. That would be a good rule of thumb.
