File not found error

I am very green on web sites but have managed to get my family site working. In one of the pages I have a link to play an MP3 voice recording of our family but the message :-

Not Found​

The requested URL /rec003short.mp3 was not found on this server.

www.slater-family.com

I can't see whats wrong. The file rec003short.mp3 is in the sites/domains/www.slater-family.com/public_html folder yet it doesn't seem to find it.

Is it because it's a .mp3 file I wonder as it's the only file which has this extension?

Any help appreciated.

Linux is case sensitive, meaning File.mp3 would not be recognized as the same as file.mp3

Check that you match case fully, if the filename stored has capital letters you will need to call it using capital letters.

Brilliant - thanks. That was it - REC in caps vs rec in lower case. I will not forget that now I know that about Linux!
