Files not editable

inside the file manager in cpanel, trying to save a file errors.
inside ftp, trying to upload a file ontop of another file, gives permission denied. Help please? additionally cpanel and drupal have trouble accessing the database, drupal errors out... bad username or password, i think... cpanel shows 0 mb for every database.

Please link directly to where a database error is being shown.

Also check your file permissions, if they are set wrong you would receive permission errors when trying to change or overwrite them.
