Well, I finally got it done, I had so many problems using frontpage and now, thanks
to Franco pointing me in the right direction, I used Dream weaver and redid the whole thing,
I did this from scratch, I hope everything works this time... LOL!!!

Check it out, and Please let me know, if all the links work for you,
and if the background picture shows.

This is my Painting site www.stecool.exofire.net

If you think of any improvements I could do,
Please let me know, I am not very experienced in website building.
This is my first website.

Thanks to All!!!

Just now saw this thread.
the first impression is good work boy......
(1) first correction:- Your page says its untitled document. please change it.
(2) the contact information is centered. make a dive or something there and put that in left or right align.
(3) for the pictures, you could use a 2 column format putting your 1st picture in the 1st column and the second one in the second. I think that would be wonderful if it was that way.

Any way you have done a good job and try to improve the design when you have time.

1. Dont resize the images using html. The map at its natural size looks much clearer. Change your code from <img src="Work%20Area.JPG" width="376" height="363"> to <img src="Work%20Area.JPG">. Shrinking down the size of larger images perminantly using software to rezise an images produces much better results and load them much faster. Have a look at Paint.net or GIMP as free image editing packages. Paint.Net is much easier to use but less powerful

2. The red title is hard to read. maybe white text would be easier against the background

Awww Too bad you guys are in Texas, my family really needs work.
(My mother and father are Drywallers, but they also do other construction work.)

Once again its a little simple, but maybe I am just expecting to much from poeple. But I like the side panel! Cool!

3/5

The "New construction and commercial painting" link is a little weird.

Your paint jobs look pretty awesome, but it would be nice to have the "before" and "after" pictures to be placed side by side and try to get the same angle in both shots to emphasize the difference and improvement.

i visited your site http://www.stecool.exofire.net/
some suggestions here.
It seems you are using frames for navigation. Its easy for implementation but it lacks SEO(search engine optimisation).
you must remove that frame for good site design.try using the real navigation. Some readymade themes are availabe within the dreamweaver itself.

I think you can do a lot more on this site :(...

3/10. You shouldn't use frame sets for a start as they're not professional. And the backgrounds make it even worse to be afraid...

Sorry about all the negative feedback, i'm just giving my opinion in what i would think is a professional site...

Hi,

This is a good straightforward site, which I think should be well liked by the target audience - potential customers!

I found the pictures loaded too slowly, so you may need to cut them a bit [reduce size or resolution or use thumbs which people can enlarge if they want more detail.

I didn't get the before and after in the Faux finish section -

Minor points - check out the spelling, SPEAKS not speeks!

There are a couple of other places where you've slipped - which only weakens an otherwise effective site!

How long did it take you in Dreamweaver?

Best regards
Edit:
Hi,
Some more detail about Page 1 [Your server dropped when i tried to go further]

1] Put a title on Page 1 -- e.g Best Pinters in Shreveport etc#
2] Our work SPEAKS
3] Change wording to for example:

Choose which type of work you want done for your property. Look at the three links below and see for yourself why you'll surely want US to paint YOUR house!

You could make a table with the cloud background image instead of a frame, and make it float left with this attribute:
HTML:
style="position: absolute; float: left;"
It creates the same effect and is more SEO.
