Granted, but Firefox 3s all over the world would be hitting 9 million downloads each, literally. That would be 8.6mil*9.0mil downloads hit by Firefox. I support Firefox, but the downloads would all be hit, and be corrupted. See here for a Firefox attacking!!!

The internet is already the speed of fiber optic. What you need is the connection. I'll be getting fiber optic soon here, as soon as Verizon moves it in which should be soon.
