I have a free hosting accounting here. I would like to use a personal domain from another websites. Can I forward that domain to my x10 hosting account without showing my x10 sub-domain URL. If my site use is mysite.x10.com and personal domain is mysite.com. I want my users to see mysite.com domain only and don't want them to know, I am using x10 account.

Thnks

See:

https://x10hosting.com/support/domains/add-domain-name

If your site is already built at yoursite.x10host.com, then add your custom domain as a parked domain using the above instructions. Do no check anything that says "redirect".

If you are using WordPress or Drupal or similar script, you will have to use the script's "admin" functionality to change the "site url" to your new domain names so that the links work properly.

I registered a domain at godaddy.com. Updated the nameserves to NS1.X10HOSTING.COM and I get the following error when I add "parked domain" in Cpanel

Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver.

Thanks

You may just need to wait a little while for the DNS changes to propagate before you can park the domain; there's no guarantee that x10Hosting's servers are going to be able to hit the authoritative registration server (that's by design, and what makes the internet robust), so the changes you made at GoDaddy have to spread to other DNS servers.

I just re-tried it again. I think is been 12hrs. I will wait few more hours

I got the domain name to work. But it does not show my domain name, it shows mydomain.x10hosting.com URL?

What happens exactly when you visit your custom domain name? Does the URL suddenly change? If so, did the page show any signs of loading before the sudden change?

It's probably a setting in your script's config file/settings, usually called something like "site URL".
