for those who dont know what a fractal is...

A fractal is generally "a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is (at least approximately) a reduced-size copy of the whole," a property called self-similarity.

anyone create/experiment with them?

XaoS is a great program which gives you interesting representations of many different fractals.

I think Encarta had a fractals generator (Encarta 97 did, anyway...) which was pretty cool.
