My account was closed due to inactivity. I have tried to re-register for a new ad-free account. I went through the account creation process, checking for domain and user name availability. Both the domain and the user name were shown to be available.

I finished the process and received a first confirmation message dated today directing me to visit this link to finish the confirmation process:
http://x10hosting.com/confirmAccount/78c7443e2f

I did so, and was directed to a page indicating that my request had been placed in a queue. Later, I received another message, which I have pasted below:

-----
This email is being sent to notify you that the hosting account that you have signed
up for has not been created, due to an error which occurred during the creation
process.

The error that occurred was:
Whm error: sorry, a dns entry for mikebro.x10hosting.com already exists, please
delete it first (from all servers in the dns cluster)
(code create_1)
The error that occurred can most likely be resolved by signing up again for a
hosting account here: http://x10hosting.com/hosting/signup
-----------

This seems to be much the same problem as in this thread:

http://forums.x10hosting.com/free-h...-inactive-account.html?highlight=entry+exists

The domain I would like to use is: mikebro.x10hosting.com
The user name (which I also use in the forums) is: mikebro

What do you need from me to help resolve this issue?

Thanks for your help,

Mike

You should now be able to signup with that subdomain.
Let us know if you are able to create the hosting account or you get an error.

I will give it a try right now. Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Been busy the last couple of days.

I'll let you know how it goes.

So, I'm in! :D

The account creation worked without a hitch. I can log into cpanel without any problem. Christopher and fedlerner, thanks very much for helping me out. I really am grateful.

Now, I'll just try and remember to be a little more active! ;)

That's great. To keep your account active you just need to login to the forums once every two weeks.
Feel free to re-open this thread if you need further assistance.
