Does anyone have any experience of using FrontPage Extensions on "new" Chopin? I used them on the old server and they worked perfectly but i cannot get them to work on the new setup. They install OK in cPanel but mess up the site navigation then FrontPage won't connect to the server, reporting that FrontPage Extensions may not be installed.

It's no big deal as I have switched back to FTP and reuploaded the pages but I am curious what has changed to cause this if anyone knows. Thanks, Ian

Frontpage extensions can get quite messy. This is why we recommended to always use FTP to publish a website. The transfer is also usually faster.

^^^ I'm not sure that FTP is faster - FrontPage extensions used to upload my site in a matter of seconds whereas FTP takes several minutes. That is why I used them. However, from what I have read, FrontPage extensions are now "old hat" and probably not compatible with later versions of Apache. If they are not going to work on the new servers, perhaps the option to install them should be removed from cPanel?
