Alex Mac,

I don't know what's up there but it might be because you're running an older version of Ubuntu. I'd suggest you update, as that looks like an older version of FileZilla.

Ubuntu 8.04 is out and you said you were running 7.10. I'd advise you to either update to the latest Ubuntu version, or do a fresh install if you can (upgrades never seem to work right, at least for me).

Here's a good tutorial for upgrading to 8.04 for 7.10:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HardyUpgrades

If you can't upgrade then you'll have to put up with this I'm afraid.

Why not install FireFTP extension in Firefox. It works great for me. I usually always have my Firefox browser up and going, so I am only a click away from uploading files to my web sites. Give it a go, I think you will like it!

But still upgrade to the latest version of Ubuntu, it's a major improvement =P

Glad to hear it. I'll update that thread with the tutorial in it so people know it only works with 8.04.

I don't think the repositories have been updated at Canonical's side, I'll ask why.
