FTP directory and host

im trying to use dreamweaver since corey said i was able to but i dont understand what the ftp directory is or the remote host

im really sorry im new to all this and ive dived in at the deepend with little knowledge, i used dreamweaver along time ago but never actually hooked up a site!

you dont HAVE to use dreamweaver to upload your website to the server...

You could just use an FTP client or even Internet Explorer to login.

ftp.USERNAME.x10hosting.com
login: USERNAME
Pass: YOUR PASS

to be honest i dont have the first idea how to make a website like this! and i know im probbaly being a pain now so im sorry, i chose to use dreamweaver cuz i could make webpages and upload those but i dunno what im doing, so yeah...what do the ftp clients do?

great, now i cant even log into x10 cp because it says my username does not exist AGAIN

Username looks fine to me, where are you failing to login at? x10hosting.com or your cPanel?

sorry that was my fault, i was entering a different username! i can log in now, and im getting help from a friend who runs a site himself, but thanks for the help guys!
