FTP files not appearing

I have successfully gained FTP access for my domain sagusims.x10Hosting.com, and have uploaded all website files into the public html folder, but the website fails to appear. Is there a logical reason for this?

what type of files are they?

It was designed in Frontpage, so mostly html files.

Hmmm, have you deleted the old index.html file?

When I uploaded the files there was literally nothing, but in the last few minutes I've noticed there is now a welcome page. I overwrote the index file again to see if it made a difference but that still remains.

Your website: http://sagusims.x10hosting.com/ works fine, and shows x10hosting default welcome index.
Delete the index.html located in your public_html folder, and you'll see the files uploaded in your public_html folder.

I did that, and now the index page works but the rest of the links do not?

This problem is still persisting
