Ftp help!!

Hi.

I'm very new to this and this is my first website. I have Dreamweaver and the suggested Cyberduck from the X10hosting website and i cannot edit my homepage. Or any page for that matter since i can't link my computer with the domain.

Does anyone know a way to connect via FTP on a mac? So far, i think i've followed all the instructions. The only thing that may or may not be an issue is that the domain was purchased from 123-reg.co.uk. Is this a problem?

To access FTP you have to connect to ftp.yourdomain.com with CPanel username and password.

I recommend Filezilla FTP client.




But If you purchased domain did you set it up properly. Means Nameservers to

ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com

Then parking the domain in CPanel OR changing the Primary domain in Account panel

It's now saying that it could not connect as the server is down or not accepting connections. As for the Nameservers, is that in the CP or at 123-reg?

Names servers you have to set at 123-reg.co.uk You have to set them to
ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com

Login to your account at 123-reg and set the nameservers.

And name servers propagation may takes 24 to 48 hours.
