I can use Cpanel and upload files to my public_html folder but that method is too slow, 1 file at a time. When I use FTP, I connect but I don't know what the directory name is.

I start in the "/ " directory and try to change to /home/toppersx/public_html and I am told that no such directory. I tried /home, /home/toppersx
I did try uploading a file to the "/" and it transferred but then I went to Cpanal and didn't find the file in any of the folders.

What should my ftp remote directory be??

Same results with filezilla also

Thanks

In Filezilla, you don't need to set any sort of Advanced settings for remote directory. Just put in your login information and it will take you to your home directory. Just place your files in public_html.
