FTP Help

I was just accepted and I'm trying to set up my ftp account. I'm running smart ftp but I don't know how to get it to work. I don't know what to enter. I'm so lost. Someone help. How do I set it up?

so for "Address" I put "kevin.x10hosting.com"
What do i put for "Login"?
Password is my log in password

no, the username and the password to cpanel from the pm is also for ftp.

it comes up with a log in where there is a "incoming folder" i cant put anything in the incoming folder or in the directory that the folder itself is in.

ftp.yoursubdomain.x10hosting.com works too

This might actually turn into the similar event from the "Computer Problem" thread with the customer and the customer service. Just kidding'.

Anyway, once you login to your ftp account, there should be a folder called "public_html" third one form the top.

public_html
tmp
www

are the orders of the folders.

That means you were logged in as anonymous, if you're using IE make sure you go to File>>Login As . If not, make sure you are logging in with your username.

ok, then you look for the folder that Auvee and complex was talking about. do you know how to look for that?

It would really be easier if you PM'd a staff member to have a look in your ftp account to see if there is something wrong with it.

i dont know what files you intend to upload, and since you are quite confused with the usage of ftp, i suggest you learn to use file manager through cpanel first to get yourself familar with what are folders available. in this case you can see the same list of folders complex has mentioned.

since I can do for q works "Anonymous FTP", since it qualifies everything in "Controls Anonymous FTP" and I cannot enter.
