I am re-posting this from the community forum.

I am admittedly pretty new to this stuff, so my problem may be a dumb misunderstanding, or too specific to the program I am using for anyone to help, but I figured I'd try.
I am using a survey making software program (Sawtooth) and will be hosting my survey using x10. I made an FTP account in cPanel. In the FTP settings in Sawtooth, it asks for the Web Root URL. I have been putting in my website (tmjz.x10.mx) and the software program tells me that it tried to find the url but that "HTTP 404 not found...."
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hey Thanks tremendously jjordan. That error has disappeared, and after receiving your response I too was able to see my website on those sites.

Now the error is reading something like this:

"failed to connect to the database. "DBI connect (".....etc.." failed: lost connection to mysql server".

I know this is specific to sawtooth, but the x10 question I have is whether this could be related to the remote mysql access (not available for free accounts). I am not sure I understand that distinction.

"Local" access is = you have a script on your account at x10hosting's free-hosting - it can access the database on your account

"Remote" access is = someone has a script on their account at the same or some other host - it can NOT access the database on your account

I think the issue with 'Sawtooth' is how you are telling it the URL (format)
