FTP through Mac OS X

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I cannot connect to the ftp server from my mac, connect to server.

What FTP client are you using to connect? What address are you connecting to?

CAUTION: Your IP can be blocked by x10hosting's firewall - for too many "Failed" FTP logins in a short period of time

The FTP details you need for FileZilla (or other FTP client):

Host: (your account's primary (main) domain) or (your server's IP) - Port: 21

Protocl: FTP - File Transfer Protocol

Encryption: Use plain FTP

Logon Type: Normal

User: (your cPanel user name)

Password: (your cPanel password)

x10hosting's free-servers have a limit of two (2) FTP concurrent connections per session from a IP address
check your FTP configuration to ensure that you are not exceeding this limit
some FTP clients default to a higher number of allowed concurrent connections

Double check that you are using passive FTP
