Ftp upload without cpanel

Hi, i would like to make changes to website without always logging in to cpanel. When i upload **** to my
website stuff goes to Public_html/username and then i have to log in to cpanel and move my stuff to public_html. any way around this or to upload directly to public_html?

It sounds like you have the default upload directory setting in your FTP program set incorrectly. Have you checked that?

Im using Filezilla and my "default" directory whatever that means is "/". In Cpanel ftp account managment my ftp account directory is /public_html/xxxxx and i cant change that.

Problem solved, i created new ftp account with upload directory /public_html.
