I keep trying to upload to my website via FTP. Every single time as soon as the transfer gets to 16mb it fails. Even when I try with a different file it does this.

FTP has restrictions on file size. I believe that your limits using CPanel are higher.

You may want to compress your files using BZ2, if they're not already compressed. Also, if you can break the file up into smaller pieces, you can work around these restrictions.

There is no max filesize as long as the file has something to do with your account and isn't against the terms of service. The limits could be a temporary measure while the servers are upgraded or anything else. I don't have admin access to the server, so I can't answer that.

What are you trying to upload?

A tar.gz backup of my website. I have also tried to upload a 50mb video, but it does the same thing.

I am on the Chompin server.

Well, you could split up the tarball and cut the movie into smaller pieces just to have something uploaded onto your account. I'd like to find a way to help you do this without splitting your video up, however. I'm going to ask for a staff member to assist you because I just don't have a way to do this for you.
