I use the FTP client filezilla...i was transfering some files to make a forum on my site and at some point i get an Disconnect and i cant login again...it says i connected form this IP 8 times?? is this a limit for connections?

Were you using a proxy service while you were accessing your site through FTP? I'm not entirely sure about the "max number of IP" restrictions - if you continue to get the error hopefully someone else who does will be able to help.

I am also moving this to the Level Two Support forums. If you are to log in via FTP before a Senior Staff member is available, please reply back to this thread stating so.

i have not been using a proxy service...maybe i was uploading too many small files at once and the server disconnects me and after that the FTP client reconnects again...well my point is if this happens to many times in a period of time i get the error "421 Too many connections (8) from this IP"..and in a few hours i can upload again and its the some after a certain amount of time...

This is a temp ban. Happens after so many connection attempts. I would suggest using large files or less smaller files.

Chris is def. right on that one! I would also suggest to use cute ftp; I think it is the best interface/easy to understand ftp client out their.
