Ftp

I have pointed my main domain to x10hosting and it has had time to propagate/update after this change. Now I should be able to use my domain with x10hosting however I cannot get anything uploaded with FTP for some reason. I get socket errors. I am running ftp with
Host: 67.228.161.42 and it says I am connected. I am uploading to the '/' folder and I eventually get a socket error. Can you please tell me how to get my files uploaded?

Often this can be a problem when you use an ftp app that tries to make multiple connections, or doesnt use passive ftp.

do you have a suggestion for what i should use then?

Much as it is abysmal, the one that comes built into IE would work, just make sure you enable the passive ftp
