Ftp

Hey i just joined this great servis. I put my ftp detailes into filezilla but it says login incorect. can you help?

Hi Mikey, I just joined and found the email client uses the same password and user name :dunno:

When they worked, they both worked.

Say your website is http://mysite.elementfx.com/
and your CPanel Name is : bruce
with password : mypassword

Your FTP setting will be:

Host / IP / URL: ftp.mysite.elementfx.com
Username: bruce
password : mypassword

Command: PASS ********
Response: 530 Login incorrect.
Error: Could not connect to server

mine work with out prefix ftp!
Host / IP / URL: mysite.elementfx.com

For filazilla, i've got mine set as:

Host: yoursite.subdomain.com

On the drop down box Login type: Account

User: yourcpanelname@yoursite.subdomain.com
Password: Should be same as Cpanel.
Account: This field can be whatever you want.

Your sub-domain will the the URL with your cpanel username and pwd as the username and pass.
