Gallery problem

I've installed gallery from fantastico - http://asri-z.net/galleria
the problem is the thumbnail isn't appearing on the site....whenever i try to rebuild thumbnails it shows page cannot be displayed....

based on the error logs this is what i found

i have PHP intermediate
does it mean i need to upgrade my php in order to be able to run exec()?

help will be much appreciated....

The version 3 of php says
Some system/execution-related functions enabled, eg: exec

So please request for version 3 stating valid reason in your account panel to use the function exec.
