GD Library Error

I am trying to use the arthemia premium theme with timThumb.php for image resizing (bundled with the theme) for wordpress 2.7. (latest)
But i keep on stumbling upon a roadblock in the form of thumbnails and image resizing issues.

Could you pl help me sort this out

the error after clicking on the image url is :
"GD Library Error: imagecreatetruecolor does not exist"

I have requested for a PHP update from level 1 to level 3, as i noticed many people across x10 having similar issues were from level 2 or so.

I hope that solves the problem, if not - i dont know what will -as i have pondered for more than 11 hours trying to find a workaround, i have found one way - but it negates the use of timThumb.php totally. which is an integral part of the arthemia theme.

If you are sure that it is not a syntax error with your site, you might want to consider opening a support ticket at http://support.x10hosting.com. they will help you. Also, you could consider double checking settings on your site, and consider changing the software applet to ImageMagick, instad of GD. what php version are you on??
