I have been installing WordPress to use as a blog. First I used the auto install feature from cPanel and got the following error:
Warning: getmypid() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/myusername/public_html/blog/wp-includes/class-phpass.php on line 52
I also did a manual install and got the same error.
Do I need to request that this be enabled for my account or I am out of luck with WordPress on this server? Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

EDIT: I requested an upgrade to php. Maybe that will enable what I need.
