So I have a forum....and a half-decent homepage. Half of my problems are gone. Here's the other half:

http://www.google.ca/search?source=...erontheweb.pcriot.com&btnG=Google+Search&meta

I don't exist...how interesting. According to the Google Webmaster account I have...my webpage does in fact exist...but...it thinks there's no content. Which is not true. Every single day, a bot from Google visits my forum. Yet it hasn't indexed anything. This makes no sense to me. Any ideas on what the problem could be? Oh yes...I'm also looking for feedback and forum members. But that's not the sole purpose of this post....;) Yes..I did have a dev. thread a while ago...but I'm not deving anymore. :p

You have to use a sitemap generator to make an XML file (Google gives you a link to a Python script sitemap generator). Then it's down to waiting patiently. Using a cron job to run the script hourly greatly increases your crawl rate.

did u use meta tags in your site????robot.txt file???? have u retrieved your site in any available seo tools????? i'd start there. they will tell u what ur missing to make your site most compatible with the way search engines retrieve and classify website content and available data on your site. this CAN be rather time consuming just so u know...

for an explaination of the robot.txt file, how its configured, and its uses http://www.robotstxt.org/. seo stands for Search Engine Optimization. There are lots of company's that offer seo services for a charge. there are also plenty of different free tools u can use to carry most of the steps to having a search eengine friendly site yourself. this can be time consuming but taking the steps will likely get u a better google ranking then not! try http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/ there is truthfully alot of info here and may seem a bit overwhelming but i hope it helps:dunno:

Try writing an article of some sort for your home page. Google doesn't like sites that are obviously under construction. A few paragraphs might get you noticed.
