.Gif Distorted

I have been looking around on the support forum and never really found the answer to my question. I waited a couple days, saying "Only a bug at the moment", but ya, the problem never got resolved, so I decided to finally to ask.

My .gif images that I recently uploaded are being distorted or not hardly showing up at all. The server/web page says the images are recognized, but they show up distorted and weird looking like i said before.

Here is a link to my phpbb forum and the menu images on the top don't really show up and the icons for category and who's online are distorted.

How did you upload this, in file manager, or ftp? if it was ftp, make sure the type is binary, or auto and not ascii.
